November 15, 2014 Annual General Meeting and EC Meeting Reschedule

Dear HKIHA Member,

HongKong Ice Hockey Association received complaints regarding the upcoming Annual General Meeting's Executive Committee Nomination process. The complainants emphasized on the 'time constraints and unreasonable notification period' to conduct the needed processes for EC Nomination. For maintenance of a fair, just and open nomination process, the HKIHA Executive Committee understanding the importance of this issue and the significance of the Annual General Meeting as well as the EC Meeting, have decided to postpone the Annual General Meeting and EC Meeting to a later date.

The extension will be beneficial to HKIHA as it will allow more sufficient time for EC Nominees to conduct the needed procedures and also compromise and bring about a solution to the complainants' claims.

Therefore, HKIHA's Annual General Meeting and EC Meeting will be rescheduled to Saturday December 13th, 2014 at 12pm.

With this, please note the following:

1) Protection and Validity of EC Nomination Forms

All valid EC Nomination Forms, proxies and any related documents received for the original Annual General Meeting dated - November 15th, 2014 will be protected and remain credible and valid for the rescheduled Annual General Meeting - December 13th, 2014 .

2) HKIHA Membership Name List Viewing

HKIHA members name list will be available for HKIHA Ordinary Members to view for EC Nomination purposes at the HKIHA office. Viewing appointments must be made and visits only available during regular HKIHA office hours (10am to 6pm). Viewing will be available today November 14th, 2014 until November 28th, 2014. Please see the Viewing Guidelines Here.

3) New Nomination Forms Due Date

Deadline for the New EC Nomination Forms submission to the HKIHA is November 28th, 2014 at 5:30pm. Please see the Nomination Form Here.

HKIHA hopes that by extending the AGM, this solution will help potential EC Nominees and Ordinary Members to have sufficient time to prepare relevant documents and forms as needed and to maintain the HKIHA's fair, just and open nomination procedures.

HKIHA sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience cause,  thank you for your kind understanding and support.

HKWIHL League Logo and Team Names Competition

Dear all HKWIHL Players,

Another exciting season of ice hockey is starting on Oct 4th at 10:15pm. We are now preparing materials and jerseys for the first 60-min women’s league in HK.

Although we are deep in the red in our budget with expensive ice time, we have decided to reduce players fees fixed at reasonable rates. In terms of hockey jersey and socks we are now working with our supplier to make one set of jerseys for each team participating in the league.

In light of sparing our precious resources by making jerseys based on the same design, we are now announcing league logo, jersey design and team name competition for the HKWIHL. The format is as follows:

1. One league logo will be selected for all three women teams

2. One jersey design will be selected for all three women teams

3. Three team names will be chosen

4. Three jersey colours will be chosen

5. Each HKWIHL team will be using the same league logo/jersey design with different colors on the jersey

6. Each TM will choose the team name out of the three chosen by the league committee

7. The selection will be made by the league committee

8. Deadline: 13 Sept, 2013

9. Submission of design to jeremyhutchins@hkaih.org

You are cordially invited to submit your logo & jersey design. We hope to get you involved with the HKWIHL and look forward to receiving your email.

Note: This competition is only open to HKWIHL players
